The Oft-Forgiving

You forget and He forgives;

You forget that He forgives.

Look, forget is for getting;

And, forgive is for giving.

You get yet you forget

That He forgives and He gives.

You forget and do misdeeds;

You forget that He Sees.

He Sees yet He forgives;

You do but He gives.

You get yet you forget

That He forgives and He gives.

You say and do not pray;

You forget that He has final say.

He promises and He warns;

You say but do you believe?

You get yet you forget

That He forgives and He gives.
